Key terms to ask about
- Eligibility
- Is your plan active, and does it include behavioral health benefits?
- Network status
- Is the provider in-network? Out-of-network care usually costs more.
- Authorization
- Does IOP or medication need approval before you start?
- Deductible
- How much must you pay before the plan starts sharing costs?
- Copay / coinsurance
- What do you owe per session or per visit?
- Medication benefits
- Is buprenorphine on the plan's drug list (formulary)?
- Pharmacy coverage
- Which pharmacies are in network, and what is the copay?
Parity in New York
Federal and New York parity laws generally require plans to cover substance use treatment comparably to medical care. They do not guarantee that every service or provider is covered. NY OASAS explains insurance rights.
Checking benefits with the provider
Long Island Treatment Center offers insurance verification before treatment. This site does not list accepted insurers because we have not verified them. A benefits check is not a guarantee of payment; your plan makes final decisions.

Ask about treatment options
Admissions staff can explain services, assessment, and insurance verification. Asking is not a commitment, and a call does not book an appointment.
Calls go to Long Island Treatment Center admissions, the provider featured on this site.
